The producers’ market at Ashton Court – which normally takes place every third Sunday of the month – is back for an extra date on Sunday 28 October (10.30am – 2.30pm) to celebrate all things spooky this Halloween. More than 25 local producers and crafts people will be selling their wares as well as some extra Halloween treats which include gruesome face painting and temporary tattoos, spooky stories in the stables (for the kids) and tarot reading.
Expect the Stables Courtyard to be bustling with local and autumnal produce: organic squashes and pumpkins from Barley Wood Kitchen Garden, local ale from Towles Fine Ales, hearty pies, scotch eggs and meat joints from Plenty Pastry and Cowshill Farm; artisan cheeses from Cerney Cheese, Halloween themed biscuits, chocolates and cakes from Zara’s Chocolates and Mullion Cove. On the craft side, there will be Halloween party wear, willow baskets, woollen shawls, handcrafted soaps, silver jewellery, locally made pottery, hand knitted scarves, brooches and children’s clothes and lots more.
All that plus Halloween fancy dress for the stall holders and ghastly but truly tasty Halloween themed food, it’s the perfect family day out this All Hallows’ Eve!
The market is located in the Stables Courtyard of Ashton Court mansion and is free entry.
