Having set themselves the challenge in January this year to produce 12 different bottled stouts in time for this Christmas, Bristol Beer Factory‘s work is finally complete. A year of trials, experiments and patience has finally come to an end, and the Southville-based brewery is now offering its customers a mixed case of 12 different bottle-conditioned stouts in time for Christmas.
The team will be celebrating the launch of the stouts on a special open day at their Southville premises on November 26th. Visitors will be able to sample the beers, enjoy some specially-made beery food, tour the brewery and buy goodies for Christmas. The cases of the 12 stouts will be available for the first (and probably only) time – there are only 150 cases of 12 x 500ml bottles available, and they can be pre-ordered online for £48 each, which includes either delivery or free entry to the open day.
A number of the stouts are available in these cases only, which contain one bottle of each of the following :
- Bristol Stout
- Milk Stout
- Chocolate Stout
- Ultimate Stout
- Imperial Stout
- Vanilla Milk Stout
- Hazelnut Latte Stout
- Chilli Choc Stout
- Choc Orange Stout
- Raspberry Stout
- Laphroaig Cask Stout
- Glenlivet Cask Stout
Head Brewer Chris Kay said “I have enjoyed the challenges this project has thrown up and I’m particularly happy with how the Raspberry Stout has turned out, the 25kg of raspberries that were used in making this beer have given it an incredible aroma. I’ll definitely be having a bottle on Christmas Day.” Managing Director Simon Bartlett added “We think the ‘12 Stouts’ case will make a fantastic Christmas present, what more could a beer lover want this year?”
A small number of the 12 Stouts will be held back for purchase on the day direct from the brewery. Any left over cases will be available online at www.bristolbeerfactory.co.uk – this is a one and done opportunity.
