If you’re looking for a Valentine’s Day gift with a conscience, then check out these Valentine’s Brownies from Luminary Bakery! Read on for the chance to win a box of your own…
London’s Luminary Bakery is encouraging people to “purchase with purpose” this year. The award-winning social enterprise bakery, which began life in 2018, offers opportunities to disadvantaged women, helping them to build a future for themselves using baking as a tool. In 2020 alone, 71 women graduated from Luminary Bakery’s 12-month training programme, with 72% of these going on to further employment.
Luminary was founded by CEO Alice Williams when she was living in East London, where she opened a pop-up bakery to allow local women to earn a living. Now, Luminary not only has two café-bakeries, but also numerous corporate clients and a thriving e-commerce business which allows some of their bakes to be sent all over the UK.
This includes their Valentine’s Brownie – a flourless chocolate brownie which can be posted to loved ones anywhere in the UK. The recipe, created by Luminary’s team of bakers, uses 70% Belgian chocolate and is topped with edible rose petals, white chocolate and raspberries. Priced from £16 for a box of six, I’ve teamed up with Luminary Bakery to give a box away to one lucky reader…
To enter, head over to my Instagram post by clicking on the link below. The competition closes at 4pm on Friday, February 11th, and the brownies will arrive by Tuesday 15th or Wednesday 16th February…good luck!
