June 15th sees the launch of Limewedge: a new Bristol-based cocktail delivery services offering affordable cocktail boxes nationwide. Founded during lockdown, you can choose one-off cocktail boxes creating either four or six drinks, or a three, six or twelve-month subscription for six drinks, with cocktails starting from just £4.67 each.
Limewedge is the brainchild of Chris Mead, who discovered his love of cocktail-making as a bartender in both Bristol and Leicester. A qualified accountant and most recently working as a finance manager, he left his job before lockdown, and decided to change direction and pursue his lifelong passion for craft cocktails.
He describes Limewedge as “an affordable way to try new combinations without having to invest in big bottles of spirits that gather dust”. Limewedge cocktail box launch themes include Boozy Brunch, Dinner Party, Desert Island Drinks and Red Light, with cocktails including the Pina Colada, Grand Mimosa, and P*star Martini. Prices start from £27.98 including shipping for a one-off, four cocktail box, to £27.99 per box for a 12-month subscription with six cocktails in each monthly box. One-off boxes will arrive within three to five days of ordering.
All of the Limewedge packaging is eco-friendly, and recipe cards are emailed, rather than using extra paper or card to print them. Everything you need to create your cocktails is included, apart from store cupboard essentials like milk or sugar.
