Bristol’s no stranger to punny food and drink business names – Jason Donervan and Aimee’s Wine House being two of the city’s favourites. And now, adding a bit of levity to a not particularly enjoyable time comes Steak Me Out: a new steak delivery service launching on Friday, April 24th.
Created by hospitality professionals made redundant as a result of Covid-19, Steak Me Out is based in Bedminster and is starting off delivering just at weekends. While they’ll be appearing on Deliveroo from April 24th, they’re hoping that customers will order directly from them (via Facebook, email or phone – all details are on their Facebook page) to cut out the middle man.
As well as obviously providing restaurant-quality meals to Bristol residents, Steak Me Out was also created to support local butchers, who have seen demand for their produce dwindle as a result of Covid-19.
On the menu, there are sirloin rump, ribeye and fillet steaks, priced from £10 upwards depending on cut and size – and each comes with a choice of three sides. There’s a minced steak burger on offer too, as well as skinny fries, steakhouse chips, onion rings, sauces (peppercorn, garlic or Jack Daniels glaze) – plus a side salad, and daily dessert specials.
Delivery is priced at £2.50 within 5 miles of BS3 – for more info, head over to the Steak Me Out Facebook page!
The meals we’ve just eaten were fantastic. They were hot and on time- well done Steak Me Out👍👍
One of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. The delivery rider forgot some of the order but when I spoke to steak me out they were amazing. They cooked me a new order of what was missing and hand delivered it. Could not ask more.
