It’s great news for fans of juicery and organic plant-based café Beets N Roots on Cotham Hill, as this May, they’re planning on opening a second outpost on Bristol’s harbourside.
Known for their commitment to sustainable, nourishing and ethical eating (and winners of the Best Cafe award at the 2019 Bristol Life Awards), Beets N Roots are planning on opening their new venture on Thursday, May 30th.
It’ll be part of a new collective called The Den. Dockside, which the team describe as “a day-to-night cafe, music venue and barbershop”. Throughout the day and into the night there’ll be DJs, live musicians and other artists spanning a huge range of musical genres, served up alongside the food and drink for which Beats N Roots has become known and loved.
From Thursday to Sunday, you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits of a late licence too (till 4am!)…but the team needs your help.
While they’ve already established the collective, setting up the Beets N Roots cafe is the final push. And for that reason, they’re running a Kickstarter campaign to, as they say, “help us realise our dream of launching a city centre music venue, help us provide jobs for locals, and help us to keep local, independent businesses at the forefront of Bristol’s streets”.
They’re looking to raise £10,000 in total – and in true Kickstarter style, there are rewards on offer for their backers. These range from 10 prepaid coffees for those who pledge £10, to 100% off your Beets N Roots bills for life if you pledge £3,000 to the campaign.
You can see (and contribute to!) the Kickstarter campaign here – best of luck to the team in their new venture!
