Between 11am and 5pm on Saturday, September 29th, head over to Windmill Hill City Farm on Philip Street for their annual Autumn Fair. It’s a family-friendly event with something for everyone, including live music, outdoor and family activities, a bar, a local producers’ and makers’ market, and more…
On the activities front, Masuyo Newman will be running workshops on creating your own Japanese-style pickles using veg harvested from the farm, while the Ape Project will be demonstrating the traditional art of baking bread over an open fire. You’ll also find story-crafting, other children’s craft experiences, spoon carving and more – and Indian head massage if you’re looking to destress…
The market stalls – all from local businesses – include cakes from 280 Bakes, vegan chocolates from Chocbox and sugar-free vegan treats from Calm and Kind, alongside handmade dog accessories, artwork, children’s books, vintage furniture and lighting, homewares and more – perfect to treat yourself, or to start shopping for Christmas gifts…
The full music line-up and list of stalls can be found on the Windmill Hill City Farm website. We’ve been in previous years and it’s always a lovely event with a great atmosphere – looking forward to heading over there this year as parents for the first time!
