Despite the date, this is no April Fool. On Saturday, April 1st, 57 North Street will become home to The Old Butcher’s: a neighbourhood beer bar that is a collaboration between The Old Bookshop and Wiper & True.

Located just along from The Old Bookshop, The Old Butcher’s will open seven days a week, serving six Wiper & True draught lines along with limited edition releases, exclusive “in development” pilot brews, and a monthly bottle list curated by Wiper & True to showcase some of the finest beers from across the globe. These bottles will also be on sale at Corks of North Street, just a few doors down the road, for those looking to enjoy them at home too.

The Old Bookshop team have been renovating the property, restoring the old wall tiles from Collards Family Butchers and building the bar and front of house. A food menu is on the horizon and will be announced on their social media feeds: follow them on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for updates…
