Visitors to Windmill Hill City Farm‘s Café will know how tough it can sometimes be to get a table – especially during school holidays! Now, though, their café expansion dreams are becoming a reality, with building work set to start in January.
The new plans will give the café twice as many indoor seats, perfect for when the weather’s poor, along with a much larger counter for faster service. Excitingly, the expansion will also include a brand new Farm Shop on-site, selling all sorts of great local produce, as well as hosting evening pop-ups.
Building work will begin at the start of 2017, and will take between 3-4 months to complete. During this time, though, the café will still be open, simply temporarily relocating to the Activity Centre next to the play area, and still offering as much of the regular menu as they can.
