Opening on Friday, April 1st, The Golden Heart will be a “traditional village pub and restaurant…serving tasty, freshly cooked food and top-drawer drinks, with a log fire when it’s chilly and a great beer garden for the warmer weather”. If this sounds like your sort of place, then submit a few details on the pub’s website to grab a spot at their opening party on March 31st…
Situated in the village of Winterbourne Down, just down the road from Frampton Cotterell and Winterbourne, the pub is easily accessible by car or bus from Bristol City Centre. It promises a food menu including “dishes [that] range from light bites and tapas-style sharers to modern British classics and beautifully-cooked fish” (fresh fish delivered daily) – sample menu available to view here. Drinks include cask ales, continental lagers, a lengthy wine list and a range of spirits.
To sign up for your place at the launch party on Thursday, March 31st, simply fill in a few details on the website’s registration form. You’ll also be sent special offers (including free bubbly on your birthday!) and news. The opening party is for adults only (although the venue, once it opens, will be a family-friendly pub) with a smart-casual dress code. If you’re interested, make sure you register your interest quickly as places are limited…
