You’ve heard of mixology, well now it’s time to be introduced to Bristology.

The Bristologist is bursting on to Bristol’s buzzing food and drink scene on November 10th at 47 Corn Street – formerly the home of the Vault Room.

More than just a cocktail bar, more than just a restaurant, The Bristologist promises guests a unique experience with food inspired cocktails, an innovative menu and a sense of theatre and fun not seen anywhere else in the city.

The kitchen is headed up by hot young talent Darren Farquharson who will be cooking up a vibrant “slates and plates” menu of small plates to delight your tastebuds, as well as fantastic Sunday roasts.

There will also be an All You Can Eat business lunch option for just £9, as well as a very special steak menu with guests able to choose their cut and see it carved at their table before it is taken to the kitchen to be cooked to their exact specification.

The cocktail menu has been created especially for The Bristologist, and guests should be prepared for not only unusual flavours, but also some surprises when it comes to presentation.

Customer interaction is the cornerstone of The Bristologist’s ideology and for every cocktail ordered people will have the chance to “flip” for a second for free, and those ordering a roast will also have the chance to win their meal.

The Bristologist is the brainchild of owner James Sleeman, headed up by General Manager Christian Abbott, who has years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Sleeman said: “I am so excited to be opening The Bristologist. Eating out should be fun and entertaining and that is exactly what we have set out to achieve.

“I think that what we have created in The Bristologist is something truly unique. Nowhere else in the area can you enjoy such fantastic and interesting food and drink offerings, with such theatrical flair.

“Christian has brought in Darren Farquharson to head up the kitchen, he has previously worked under the award-winning Chef Abbott for a number of years so I know he is an immensely talented young chef and ready for his first head chef position – I am thrilled to have him on board.”

The Bristologist will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The website was not yet in place at the time of writing, but will be at www.thebristologist.co.uk – you can also follow the team on Twitter at @thebristologist.
