This year, it’s the 5th anniversary of Clifton Village-based DBM Wines. The wine merchant began life at Leigh Court, just south of Bristol, in 2009, taking on its premises on Clifton’s Kings Road in spring 2013.
To mark their 5th anniversary, Aidan, Richard, Susan, Bryn and Simon will be celebrating with the time-honoured tradition of champagne – but they’re not just cracking open a bottle between them. They want to share the joys of champagne with the rest of Bristol, and so will be hosting Bristol’s Biggest Champagne Tasting at The Society of Merchant Venturers, Merchants’ Hall, The Promenade, Clifton, BS8 3NH on the evening of Wednesday, September 24th.
Running from 6.30 to 8.30pm, there are just 100 tickets available for the evening. There will be around 50 champagnes to taste from both well known houses and small growers including non-vintage, vintage, rosé and prestige cuvées including Dom Perignon and Krug. There will be a representative on hand from each Champagne house who can talk to you about their champagnes. This is a fantastic opportunity to taste a comprehensive range of champagnes and the first tasting of its kind in Bristol for many a year!
Tickets are £50 each or £35 if you are an existing DBM customer (4 tickets per person only).
