If you’re a tennis fan, head to Cabot Circus between 23rd June and 6th July, where the Quakers Friars big screen will return for the world’s oldest tennis tournament.
What does this have to do with food? Well, the square will be transformed into a green complete with grassy areas, plenty of deckchairs and giant games for everyone to enjoy, completely free of charge. Nearby restaurants will be offering the traditional tournament snack of strawberries, while other refreshments will also be offered by the range of Cabot Circus restaurants.
If you don’t want to leave your seat and miss any of the action, both GBK and Wagamama’s will be delivering meals to customers’ deckchairs. Cinema de Lux will also have a Ben and Jerry’s mobile ice-cream cart on hand if the sets get too hot to handle…
You’ll also be able to enjoy discounts and offers from other Cabot Circus retailers, including 20% off tennis items at DW Sports, free day passes at The Gym and free hand and arm massages at Molton Brown, along with many others.
Stephanie Lacey, Cabot Circus Centre Director said, “With the excitement of Andy Murray’s win last year, Wimbledon promises to be a very exciting time for Britain and we are bringing all of the action outside in Quakers Friars. Only a lucky few will have scored tickets to this year’s sporting event so we hope that our big screen will offer the perfect place for people to come together and soak up the atmosphere while enjoying some lovely food and drinks from the comfort of the deckchairs.”
