Reckon you could give Jamie or Nigella a run for their money? Gift website Buyagift have launched a new competition in conjunction with leading food charity The Trussell Trust to highlight just how difficult it is to feed our families on a limited budget.
The Buyagift £3 Challenge is open until December 15 – and it’s a tough challenge. To enter, you’ll need to prepare a delicious meal for a minimum of two people…with a budget that should not exceed £3.
The more creative you can be without overspending, the greater the chance you’ll have of winning a delicious meal for two at a top London restaurant, a gourmet cooking lesson or a spa day for two. In support of the great work they do in the wider community, Buyagift will also be donating £600 to the Trussell Trust on behalf of the winner!
To enter, come up with a meal idea, purchase their ingredients and prepare your masterpiece – without going over the budget. You’ll then need to take a photograph of your modestly priced meal and email it to threepoundchallenge@Buyagift.com.
The team will upload every single picture to their Three Pound Cooking Challenge Facebook album and will pick five finalists after the closing the date – the fifth of which will be the photograph with the most Facebook likes.
The finalists will be sent over to the guys at The Trussell Trust, and they’ll be given the tough task of choosing the ultimate winner, who will be announced on December 22.
