Until October 28th, head to one of 645 Greene King pubs across the country to enjoy a beer and a burger from just £10!
The deal comes at a time when the pub company’s research reveals beer and a burger as the ultimate food and drink duo, with 42% of people agreeing that it’s the perfect combination.
But how do you eat yours?
According to Grant Harrold, former British Royal butler to Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles III and Prince William at Buckingham Palace, the “proper etiquette” is to use a knife and fork, elevating the experience “from a casual, messy meal to something that can be savoured with a bit more elegance”. His clientele – including the monarchy – go for this technique, but do you?
If so, you’re one of only 13% of people who use a knife and fork. 63% use their hands, while 24% have no preference. Among those who do, 49% say it’s for cleanliness, 39% do so out of convenience, and 27% do it for politeness.
I’ve got to admit, I’m a fan of a knife and fork approach – especially when it’s a particularly big or messy burger. Fortunately, Greene King welcome both types of people – check out their October beer & burger deal locations here.
