Marco Pierre White has introduced a new menu at Bardolino – his pizzeria, Bellini and espresso bar at theclub, Cadbury House, Congresbury.
The inspiration for the menu hails from Bardolino, an Italian town in the Veneto region where Marco’s mother was born.
Bardolino is open to both members and non-members of health club theclub – and with its rustic feel and views over the North Somerset countryside, it’s a place that’s designed to give diners the sense that they’re enjoying a meal out in Italy.
Focused on Marco’s ethos of casual, authentic and affordable Italian dining, the menu features sharing dishes for the table such as a Rosemary Focaccia and a range of Bardolino breads, including garlic, tomato and cheese.
Starters include a crispy fritto misto as well as porcini arancini, while there’s also a varied pizza menu: think margherita, Bolognese, basilica, al fungi and Romana – as well as an American Hot for those who like things spicier.
There are al forno pasta dishes like Marco’s macaroni cheese, rigatoni arrabbiata, baked spinach & ricotta cannelloni and Marco’s macaroni cheese, as well as a selection of salads for those looking for something lighter. In addition there’s a brunch menu featuring a range of “Brunch on Sourdough” options, plus various vegetarian dishes, including some which utilise plant-based Redefine Meat.
