Following the success of the Bedminster launch, Parsons Bakery has introduced an artisan pizza kitchen to the Henleaze store.
In June 2022, Parsons Bakery introduced a pizza menu to its North Street store in Bedminster, offering thirteen artisan pizza choices available to order online. This whole new menu – as well as extra bakery offerings – can now also be enjoyed by customers of the Henleaze store.
Already using handmade dough for their baked goods and bread, Parsons Bakery continues this with pizza dough that is made in-house, kneaded and shaped by hand before being topped with fresh – mainly local – ingredients. You’ll find classic flavours like Hawaiian and pepperoni, as well as white bases, including chicken and pesto on bechamel sauce. Vegans and vegetarians are also catered for with the “Posh Margherita” and goats cheese and red onion options – and at £10 for a 14-inch pizza, the Parsons Bakery pizzas won’t break the bank.
Ordering is available via their website, while delivery is available via Deliveroo, Foodstuff, JustEat and UberEATS. Both the Henleaze and Bedminster stores are open for pizza orders between 5pm and 9pm Sunday to Thursday, and from 5pm to 10.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
It’s the great-grandson of Herbert Parsons, Parsons Bakery founder, who began Parsons’ diversification into pizza. He says, “We have often thought about extending our menus, and pizza became the perfect choice. It’s been exciting to see how much our customers have enjoyed the pizzas, and we can’t wait to deliver that to Henleaze as well.
“Bristol has always championed independent food businesses. Our first store was in Clevedon in 1926, and our first Bristol store in Bedminster opened in 2001. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength, and we can’t wait for even more Bristolians to try our pizza menu.”
