BOXHALL Bristol, opening in summer 2023, is on the look out for local food and drink traders to join its regional food offering.
With the assistance of Josh Eggleton, who’s joined the BOXHALL Bristol team as its Food Ambassador, BOXHALL – which will be opening on Welsh Back – is looking to ensure that the new venue showcases the breadth of local indie food and drink businesses that operate from within Bristol.
Competition for the space will be strong, though: there are just seven kitchen spots available. BOXHALL Bristol has confirmed that it’s looking for food businesses with a minimum of two years of experience in trading and operating in a customer-facing environment.
Those who are successful will be required to pay an initial, fully refundable deposit, before being provided with a fully-fitted plug-and-play commercial kitchen to the value of around £100,000. It means that the successful businesses can start trading without the worry of huge upfront financial outlay, which can often be a barrier to expansion.
Ben McLaughlin, BOXHALL COO, says, “We’re thrilled to announce that our search for traders is now officially open. We have invested heavily in our kitchens and technology to give food operators a fantastic opportunity to grow their business and ensure they can deliver a seamless guest experience. Food will be at the heart of BOXHALL, and with space for just seven kitchens, the trader roster needs to reflect the diverse and high-quality offering from Bristol and beyond.
“Bristol has a phenomenal reputation as a culinary city and we’re incredibly excited to be working alongside Josh in our search. His reputation in the region is unparalleled and his knowledge and experience of the regional landscape will be invaluable.”
Josh Eggleton will be advising and consulting on the incoming street food and specialist beverage operators at BOXHALL Bristol, as well as on local partnerships and building and delivering live events at the venue.
The 20,000 square-foot venue will include two external terraces that overlook the floating harbour, as well as including an events programme that will feature the best of Bristol’s music scene and more.
