Head to any Krispy Kreme store this week – including Avonmeads, Cabot Circus and Cribbs Causeaway here in Bristol – and you can enjoy up to 30% off your favourite dozen doughnuts. There’s a catch, though: you’ll need to pull your spookiest face in return for the discount…
Krispy Kreme has called on the services of Tiree Dawson, runner-up in the World Gurning Championships, to help you to contort your features to pull some seriously fiendish faces this Halloween. Follow Tiree’s tips and you’ll be rewarded with any dozen doughnuts for £12: just head to a Krispy Kreme shop between Tuesday 25th and Thursday 27th October, say you’re there for the £12 offer and pull a frightful face to a member of staff to enjoy the discount.

A Gurner’s Guide to Pulling Gruesome Faces This Halloween (Tiree Dawson, World Gurning Championship Runner-Up)
Step 1 – Set Yourself Loose
Before you start, stretch your face and neck muscles fully. This will help you contort yourself to the maximum, while avoiding any gurning-related injuries.
Step 2 – Wind Your Neck In (or Out)
Start with your neck, twisting it to one side or tucking your chin right back into it for a truly petrifying pose.
Step 3 – Bare Your Fearsome Fangs
Next, focus on your mouth, turn up your lips to reveal your fearsome fangs. Then roll out your tongue for a ghoulish grin.
Step 4 – Follow Your Nose
Next is the nostrils – flare them out for a dragon-like nose or scrunch up that snout.
Step 5 – Swivel Those Eerie Eyes
Most importantly, your eyes – the window to your devilish soul. Roll them back or around in your head, or turn them outwards in different directions. And arch those eyebrows for maximum effect.
Step 6 – Show Your Hand
Finally, frame that face with your hands. Try a mutant mummy with hanging wrists, some curled-up werewolf claws, or a classic ‘Scream’.
Tiree Dawson says, “This Halloween season, I’ve teamed up with Krispy Kreme to help doughnut lovers perfect the ultimate spooky face for a scarily good reward! My easy-to-perform steps should give everyone the confidence to delight and surprise in Krispy Kreme shops in return for a delicious treat”.
There’s a new Krispy Kreme range on offer this Halloween too – including Undead Ned, with a chocolatey filling, Wrapped-up Rita, filled with Lotus Biscoff® Kreme, and Original Glazed® dressed up as Spooky Sprinkles, dipped in orange icing, half sprinkled with spooky Halloween sprinkles! All of these, plus the brand’s other favourites, are included in the deal.
While the Halloween range is available in selected Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons stores, as well as in Krispy Kreme shops, this £12 dozen deal is only available in Krispy Kreme retail shops. The offer is available on Original Glazed Dozen, Sharer Dozen, Choose Your Own Dozen, Feature Dozen and Hot Original Glazed Dozen and is limited to two dozen per customer, per day.
