On Thursday, August 26th, The Cider Box will open its second site in Bristol within CARGO 2 – Wapping Wharf‘s buzzing hub of shipping containers.
Expect a blend of modern craft cider from some fantastic international producers as well as award-winning local ciders in both cans and bottles. They’ll also be offering cider poured straight from kegs to take away, made just across the city at its St Philip’s site.
During the warmer month there will be cider slushies on offer too – and when the days get shorter and the temperature drops, expect plenty of warming hot spiced cider to be served. The focus of The Cider Box will be on small-batch, not-from-concentrate, freshly-pressed cider, with no nasty ingredients added.
There will also be a small tasting table for group tasting sessions – as well as collaborations planned with other Wapping Wharf businesses.
Dan Heath, who founded The Cider Box in 2013, says: “We’re tremendously excited to open up in Wapping Wharf; our second site in Bristol alongside our St Philip’s Tap Room, working with brilliant producers of the finest cider we can lay our hands on, and sharing our findings with our wonderful customers. We have ciders from upstate New York, Malmo/Sweden and the finest Normandy juices alongside regional favourites from Herefordshire and Somerset, and we cannot wait to pop open a bottle or two and share the juice.”
The Cider Box will be taking the unit formerly home to Loop Massage, which is relocating from CARGO 2 to a bigger unit on the ground floor of Hope Quay along Rope Walk, also at Wapping Wharf. Opening hours will be Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm to 7pm. Find out more about The Cider Box by visiting their website. Best of luck with the opening!
