New venture, Keep Bristol Thriving, will allow the city’s residents to keep shopping local whilst supporting Bristol businesses to survive Covid-19 and beyond.
Social distancing measures mean that many Bristol businesses have closed their doors indefinitely, and are uncertain about what the future may bring. For this reason, local entrepreneur Robbie Allen has launched Keep Bristol Thriving: a service that will see a selection of high-quality products from local independent vendors packaged up into gift boxes and delivered to local residents, as well as to those living further afield.
Robbie Allen, founder of Keep Bristol Thriving comments: “It is a really simple idea. Our aim is to support local independent businesses and keep the city of Bristol thriving. We are partnering with a bunch of amazing local businesses in Bristol and taking these high-quality products and handling all the logistics and e-commerce side of things for them so that they can continue to grow and sustain their company and livelihood. As soon as you place an order this instantly benefits our local partners providing the products in each gift box.”
The gift boxes are available in two sizes, with the small box (£39) containing at least 6 items, and the large box (£55) containing at least 8 items. Customers will enjoy a range of products, including artisan food and snacks, drinks, beer, spirits, craft coffee, local art, skincare products and lifestyle products like candles, notebooks, mugs, coasters and tumblers – all made right here in Bristol.
The launch follows on from Keep Edinburgh Thriving and Keep Glasgow Thriving, with Robbie also planning on rolling out the business model across other UK cities in the coming weeks.
