Bristol-based pie business, Pieminister, is inviting members of the public throughout the UK to organise a pie delivery for their street, with all profits going to NHS Charities Together.
NHS Charities Together is the national membership organisation for NHS Charities, and 100% of all profits from these pie sales will be used to support NHS staff and volunteers caring for Covid-19 patients.
To become part of the Pieminister Pie Heroes initiative, head to the dedicated page on their website. There, you’ll find everything you need to share pie choices with neighbours, before completing the order for your street online. As well as details of all the pies available, you’ll find allergen details and cooking instructions, along with guidance on how to redistribute the pies safely to your neighbours while adhering to social distancing rules.
Pie Street Hero orders are packed every Wednesday in the Pieminister bakery in Bristol, ready to be delivered on Thursday or Friday. All of the pies are available in multiples of four (of the same variety), with a minimum order of 24. The range includes meaty, vegan and vegetarian options, too.

While doing what we can to protect our own employees through these difficult times, we also want to help those caring for COVID-19 patients. And after being struck by the wonderful way in which people are connecting more than ever with their neighbours right now, we came up with ‘Pie Street Heroes’. So many people are offering support and sharing information with one another through neighbourhood WhatsApp or Facebook groups. We thought this would be a great way for these same streets to fundraise for a worthy cause while staying at home and enjoying some pies”.
