Despite having been open for under 6 months, Bristol dessert bar CowBee has won “Dessert Restaurant of the Year at the Prestige Awards 2020.
These inaugural Bristol awards have named CowBee on College Green as the city’s best dessert shop, commenting on their outstanding waffles and dessert menu as well as the consistency of their reviews and their overall attentiveness to their customers. The awards celebrate small and medium-sized enterprises and choose winners “based on marketing and branding, business growth methods, customer experience, and approach to new ideas”.
Owners Nicola and Adam set up CowBee six months ago, having spent some time searching for the perfect venue. Both Nicola and Adam are on-site most days, making it a truly independent, family-run business, and their daughter Czeska manages their social media while also studying at university.
Serving a huge range of sweet and savoury waffles, organic gelato made on the premises, and coffee brewed using a traditional Italian lever-operated coffee machine, CowBee is open seven days a week. And the owners are excited about the recent win – Nicola says, “We are over the moon to win the Best Dessert Restaurant Award, especially when you consider the other incredible dessert-led businesses in the city. We have worked extremely hard to create an exciting menu and a fun, casual environment that we hope friends, couples and families are excited to visit. Being a family ourselves, we know that going out for waffles and ice cream is a real treat, so we wanted everything that CowBee offers to deliver on that occasion”.
Excitingly, hot on the heels of this recent award win, CowBee has also been shortlisted for the “Identity” awards at this year’s Restaurant & Bar Design Awards – best of luck to Nicola and Adam!
