The Whiteladies Road branch of restaurant, deli and retailer Spoke & Stringer will be launching a new casual evening food and drink offering this February.
Their Clifton Down Shopping Centre branch, which opened last year, will offer quesadillas, tapas and cocktails from 6pm onwards, in a menu focused on using locally-sourced, fresh ingredients to create dishes that encourage sharing. This will be paired with a new evening drinks menu of house cocktails, a full wine list, local craft beers, and Spoke & Stringer’s own cold-pressed juices.
The harbourside branch of Spoke & Stringer will be resuming its daytime brunch service all seven days of the week at the end of March, along with its evening offering. However, it’ll also be opening for a one-night-only themed Valentine’s Day offer: two courses for £20, including a glass of rose prosecco on arrival. The banquet-style menu begins with a sharing plate of seasonal pintxos (including gazpacho shooters, arancini and beetroot gravadlax), followed by sharing dishes that include pan-fried seabass with stuffed courgettes, heritage tomatoes and red wine-infused quinoa, spinach, new potatoes and tahini dressing.
Kristian Crews, founder of Spoke & Stringer, says of the new Whiteladies Road offering: “Inspired by cuisines from South American & European coastal regions, the Spoke & Stringer kitchen team have created a menu that is focused on seasonality and simplicity, with flavour combinations and ingredients that everyone can enjoy. Quesadillas form the centre-piece of the evening menu, complemented by some of our favourite Tapas plates served at our Harbourside Restaurant and some new creations, with plenty of dishes that are vegan and gluten-free friendly.”
