Chicken fans will be pleased to know that US casual dining brand Slim Chickens is set to open a restaurant in Bristol’s city centre.
Founded in 2003 with its beginnings in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Slim Chickens expanded to the UK in 2018 when it opened its first London restaurant, with Cardiff following in 2019.
Slim Chickens specialises in chicken tenders – hand-breaded and buttermilk-marinated – as well as chicken wings, with everything cooked fresh to order. There are various sandwiches on the menu, too: from the hot buffalo to the honey BBQ, with a spiced butternut patty also available for vegetarian diners.
Sandwich, salad and wrap meals are served with fries and a bottomless soda, while wings and tenders meals also come with Texas toast and dipping sauces, from a choice of 13 different varieties. Additional sides include fried pickles and mac and cheese, while shakes and jar desserts are also available for those looking for something sweet.
There’s no official opening date or exact location announced as yet, but they’re recruiting for staff in Bristol, so I’m expecting launch news to be imminent… If Slim Chickens sounds like your sort of thing, follow the UK Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts where they’ll most likely share more news soon…
