On April 23rd, King Street is set to welcome a new steakhouse in the form of Bar + Block, taking the chain’s numbers up to ten restaurants across the UK.
Part of the Whitbread group, the pub brand describes Bar + Block as an “evolved, contemporary” version of its Beefeater brand, aiming to appeal to a younger audience. The first restaurant opened in Birmingham in 2016, and following in the footsteps of its predecessors, the Bristol restaurant will be attached to the Premier Inn hotel on King Street – a building which is also home to the Llandoger Trow: a Brewers Fayre restaurant, also part of the Whitbread group.
Bar + Block Bristol will offer an all-day dining experience. The breakfast menu includes steak and eggs, as well as buffet choices and a full English. The steaks are the real focus of the main menu, hand-cut on site so you can choose your own size, and served with samphire and either salad or chips. You’ll also find grazing plates, salads, burgers, grills and fish and veg dishes – and if you’re short of time, the express menu promises to be served in under ten minutes.
The Bristol branch of Bar + Block is set to open on Tuesday, April 23rd, and posters outside promise a special opening offer if you sign up to their Bristol newsletter. In the meantime, follow them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to learn more…
