Turtle Bay Broad Quay are launching their new Caribbean brunch on November 2nd – and over the next three weekends, 100 guests will get the chance to enjoy it free of charge.

For the first time, the Broad Quay branch of the Caribbean restaurant will be opening their doors at 9am (and serving till 2pm) to accommodate early risers and those who like a more leisurely weekend alike. The menu’s going to offer classic brunch dishes with a Caribbean twist – and it sounds fantastic.

Breakdast sandwich lovers can try the Roti Rolls instead: traditional hand-stretched flatbreads grilled and filled with cream cheese, sweet chilli jam, fresh herbs and a choice of fillings like jerk sausage, jerk bacon, and crispy soft-yolk fried eggs.

If you’re more of a Full English Fan, the Big Kingston Grill Down will offer jerk bacon and sausage, curried chickpeas, roast tomato and a choice of eggs done Turtle Bay’s way – spring onion scrambled or chilli fried. Vegetarians can go for the Big Veg Grill, which swaps jerk bacon and sausage for Portobello mushroom and sweet plantain.

There are also dishes like Scotch Bonnet Omelette, Coconut Mackerel Kedgeree, Martinique Doughnut Toast and a Curry Goat Hash (pictured), plus traditional Caribbean breakfast dishes: the Jonny Cakes are breakfast dumplings, while ‘Stamp and Go’ is a salt cod and scotch bonnet fishcake.

There are sides like plantain fritters, curried chickpeas and avocado too, and as well as Turtle Bay’s standard hot and soft drinks, they’ve created a bespoke brunch cocktail menu too. All available in their 241 happy hour deal, you can choose from a Spiced Bloody Mary (extra kick from Bajan pepper sauce), Reggae Brunch Punch (gin, blackberry liqueur, passionfruit juice and bubbles), an Espresso Martini made with dark rum, and a Breakfast Martini, made with marmalade, honey and apple juice.

There’ll also be a charitable donation from the brunch menu with £1 from every Curry Goat Hash sold going directly to Changes Bristol.
