Harbourside Mexican restaurant Cargo Cantina will host a family-friendly festival at Wapping Wharf celebrating Mexico’s Day of the Dead on Friday November 2nd.
Running from 6pm to 9pm, the Mex-Fest at Cargo Cantina is a free festival that will bring together the community of traders at CARGO2, with plenty of food, drink, music and entertainment.
Cargo Cantina will be serving up authentic Mexican street food – including their tacos – as well as plenty of Cazcabel tequila and Mezcal cocktails. On the entertainment front, you’ll find sugar skull face painting for kids of all ages, fire performances, magicians, sugar skull stilt walkers and a traditional Mexican mariachi band.
If you want to keep celebrating after 9pm, head up to Cargo Cantina’s sister venue Corner 77 on Stokes Croft, where the after party will start at 9.30pm. Think LED performances, live music and Latin-inspired DJs until the small hours, alongside a specially crafted Mexican-inspired cocktail menu created by Josh Krysiak at Corner 77. Entry to both events is totally free…
