This September, organic retailer Abel & Cole will be touring the UK to celebrate its 30th birthday – including a stop in Bristol on Friday, September 28th.
The farm-to-door home delivery service will be bringing the UK’s first ever Pollinator Roadshow to Bristol from 10-3pm on the last Friday of September, to mark three decades of providing seasonal, ethical and sustainable food and drink.
Taking place on the Harbourside, near the Neptune statue, you’ll be able to visit the Abel & Cole ‘garden shed’ on tour, with the chance to indulge in tasty treats, win exclusive competition prizes and unearth the stories behind Abel & Cole’s journey of being #OrganicSince88. A pollinator-inspired menu will be served too, including honey, goats’ cheese and pickled onion loaded fries, celebrating the bees, bugs and butterflies that help bring Abel & Cole’s produce to our tables. A vegan-friendly jerk-spiced chilli will also be served as a nod to their (potato) roots in Brixton.
While raising a glass to the past, Abel & Cole will look to the future with a long-term commitment to protect the biodiversity that plays a fundamental role in keeping the organic food industry alive and thriving. Visitors to the roadshow can make their very own ‘pollinator pledge’ from Abel & Cole’s bespoke photo booth shed, capturing the moment for their social media channels while receiving a wildflower starter pack to help encourage pollinators into their gardens at home.
All proceeds from food sales on the day will go towards Abel & Cole’s charity partner, Friends of the Earth, an environmental campaigning community dedicated to the wellbeing and protection of the natural world.
