Beer and cheese are a winning combination. And as of Thursday, September 6th, there’ll be an entire shop dedicated to the two, with Two Belly opening on Whiteladies Road.
For a long time, Whiteladies Road has suffered the problem of multiple empty commercial units. Now, though, number 116, between Boots and Tradewind Espresso – which has been empty for a number of years – is being transformed, giving Bristol’s food and drink lovers another great reason to visit BS8.
Husband and wife owners Dominic and Lara only moved from London to Bristol this February, but bring with them a wealth of experience that includes various craft beer pubs, Neal’s Yard Dairy and more. We believe it’s the latter that will provide the majority of the cheese on offer at Two Belly, with a focus on British options, but also a rotation of some of the finest continental cheeses too.
The pair will be sourcing local craft beers from breweries such as Lost and Grounded, as well as those from further afield – and ciders too (well, it would be rude not to in the South West!)
While the official opening date for Two Belly is on Thursday, September 6th (when the shop will be open from 10am to 8pm), there will also be a soft launch from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday, September 5th. In a recent Instagram post, they’ve invited anyone who fancies it to come along…
Stay up to date with Two Belly’s progress by following them on Instagram and Twitter.
