South Bristol residents and visitors were disappointed when Mrs Brown’s Cafe in Victoria Park closed in 2017…but excitingly, owners Emily and Elliot will be reopening the cafe as a pop-up this summer.
The pair were the third to take over ownership of the cafe since it first opened in 2007, and were hugely popular with park visitors. After seven years, they hung up their aprons for family reasons, with Bristol City Council having been expected to put the pitch out to tender around Easter this year.
That didn’t happen, though, and now the pair have been granted a temporary licence until the end of summer, until the council work out the tender process.
The plan is for Emily and Elliot to return from 10am on Friday, June 8th, on a pop-up basis on certain weekends only, and with a limited number of hours.
The menu will be limited too, with drinks, snacks, cake and ice lollies on offer – but the important thing is that they’re back! Opening hours and times will be posted on their social media feeds – follow them on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to find out more…
