The team at the Kensington Arms has announced a new summer series of workshops, butchery masterclasses and bespoke foraging tours.
On June 21st, join Origin Butchers for a hands-on butchery session where you’ll learn to break down half a pig, learning about the different cuts and how to prepare them, improving your knife skills and preparing your own joint of meat to take home, along with a recipe card.
Alternatively, on August 4th you can join Martin from Go Foraging for a foraging and wild cocktail making workshop. On the day, you’ll learn the basic of urban foraging, beginning with a coffee and a run-down of foraging rules, before heading off to Martin’s favourite foraging spots to collect some easy-to-recognise ingredients. Expect to identify, pick and taste a variety of edibles, while learning about their nutritional value, and why foraging is a sustainable and enjoyable pastime for the whole family. The tour will finish with a foraged feast at the Kensington Arms, complete with a glass of wine, and a cocktail masterclass using wild syrups and local botanicals.
The butchery masterclass is priced at £45 per person, and takes place from 6.30pm to 11pm on June 21st. The foraging and wild cocktails workshop is priced at £50 per person, and will run from 10am to 3pm on August 4th.
