New to Zetland Road this May is Koocha Mezze Bar: a cocktail and mezze bar serving plant-based, vegan food.
It replaces the Number 10 Persian restaurant that was formerly run in the same premises – with Koocha owner Noda’s father handing over the reins.
The food menu at Koocha Mezze Bar will continue to offer diners a whole host of Persian favourites. The launch weekend will introduce the team’s mezze small plates, with vegan kebabs, large plates and breakfasts making an appearance over the following week. Whether it’s a lunchtime spent grazing over drinks or an evening meal discovering a new cuisine, the authentic Persian dishes such as kupa, rissoles and white bean stew are designed to suit all occasions.
Open seven days a week, from lunch until late, the restaurant has been refurbished to the point where it’s unrecognisable from its Number 10 days. One of the biggest changes is the addition of a cocktail bar, serving a drinks menu with plenty of Persian influences. There’s a launch offer on cocktails too, with two for £10 deals available throughout the day: try the Persian Rose (gin, rose water and cucumber with a rose petal garnish), or the house special Number 10 (saffron gin, vodka, lavender syrup, cucumber and freshly squeezed lemon juice), among many others…
