Some may think we have enough burger places in Bristol already…but I for one am SO excited about the fact that Honest Burgers are coming to the city!

The London chain has already expanded out of the capital with restaurants in Reading and Cambridge, and the team promise that they’ll be using South West suppliers when they open here, reportedly in June…

They’ll be taking over the 75-seater, 2-storey venue on Clare Street that used to be Tincan Coffee Co., with a rumoured opening date of sometime in June…

The food menu is short and sweet, with a small selection of chicken, beef and veggie burgers – and there are regular specials too. What’s more, they’ll be introducing a local special just for Bristol, and it sounds amazing: beef, bacon, Westcombe Dairy smoked Cheddar and cheese curds, shoestring fries, Pilton Cider and bacon gravy, onion and pickles…

It’s not just the food that’ll have a local slant, with a gin collaboration with Psychopomp also on the horizon…

I had my first taste of an Honest Burger in London in 2015, and I wasn’t disappointed. The crowning glory for me? The EPIC rosemary salted chips: literally just rosemary, lemon and Maldon sea salt, but they’re incredibly moreish…

The Honest team are posting regular updates on their Facebook page…keep your eyes peeled for updates on the opening date!
