This September, Bristol is set to host the Bristol Craft Beer Festival, bringing together top music, great food and over 125 world-class brewers.
The Bristol Craft Beer Festival will attract top brewers from the UK, Europe and US, with over 200 beers on offer – including festival specials, cult classics and new-to-market brews.
The festival begins its tour of the UK in Edinburgh in May, followed by London in August and Bristol in September, with the exact dates of our city’s leg still to be confirmed.
Brewers already confirmed include Dugges from Sweden, Mikkeller from Denmark, and Stillwater Artisanal from Baltimore, US. On the UK front, expect those in attendance to include London’s Beavertown Brewery, Cornwall’s Verdant and Scotland’s Tempest Brew Company, along with more established craft giants like Oskar Blues, Sierra Nevada and BrewDog.
This year, the festival includes the addition of the chance to sample beers from brewers winning the ‘Raise the Bar’ initiative from We Are Beer founders Greg Wells and Dan Sylvester. Upcoming brewers keen to raise their profile are invited to submit their brews for consideration, with winners chosen in a bid to champion those who are new-to-market.
An expert panel will independently blind taste all submissions before selecting the top four brewers to attend all three festivals, providing them with a platform to showcase their beer to around 17,000 people across the country.
This will be the third time that our city has hosted the Bristol Craft Beer Festival. Tickets will go on sale in March, and will be available from the festival’s website.
