Book now for the first in a series of global pop-up restaurants from Mageiros Pop-Up at Coexist Community Kitchen, with the first offering focusing on the food of Pakistan.
Mageiros Pop-Up was born from a Cooking & Conversation course at Coexist. The course brings together people from different cultures and backgrounds, sharing their traditional food, learning English, and supporting integration into the local community. The team believe that cooking can transport us creatively through experimentation and taste whilst allowing us to rediscover and connect with our past. Cooking can be so much more than just an instrument to feed us. It is about the people living it and what it means to them.
Throughout the course some of the group’s members expressed their interest in sharing this on a large scale, and this is how Mageiros Pop-Up was born. Every pop-up will see the team travelling around the globe through the food they present, visiting different regions and sharing their traditional dishes.
The first event, which takes place from 7.30pm on Thursday, November 23rd, presents traditional dishes from Pakistan. Tickets are priced at £25 and include both the meal and a welcome drink. On the evening, expect dishes such as Dahi Bara (lentil dumplings), Makkai Ki Roti (corn flat bread) and Lamb Karhai
