Day of the Dead is Mexico’s biggest celebration, and is commemorated on November 2nd each year. It’s traditionally a day of joyful remembrance for loved ones who have passed away.
Food is a huge part of Day of the Dead celebrations, with dishes such as tamales, mole and sweets made with pumpkin common across Mexico. Bakeries are stocked with Day of the Dead breads: sweet, soft pastries decorated with bone-shaped fingers and best served dipped in hot chocolate.
This October and November, Wahaca are marking the occasion with a special feasting menu. From October 30th to November 5th, all Wahaca restaurants – including the Bristol branch – will be getting into the Day of the Dead spirit with traditional Mexican decorations and a set sharing menu.
