Seaweed as food is often ignored, but it is considered ‘pure energy’, can be great tasting and is a staple of Asian cuisine.
Leading national cancer charity and nutrition experts Penny Brohn UK are hosting their inaugural Nutritional Benefits of Seaweed Workshop at their National Centre, Chapel Pill Lane, Pill, on Friday, November 3rd.
Seagreens founder Simon Ranger will discuss the nutritional rationale, seaweed species, its uses – modern and traditional, health benefits, science and nutritional therapy among other topics.
Penny Brohn nutritional therapist Victoria Kubiak will perform a cooking demo with plenty of chances to taste the different varieties, including at lunch and as snacks throughout.
The event runs from 9.30am-4.30pm and entry costs £55.
