The first ever SPRINGFEST is set to take place on Saturday the 8th July on Sandy Park Road in Brislington. With a one off makers’ fair and food market, this debut festival promises family fun for all from 10-3pm. Discover local businesses (including a brand new deli) on a special guided trail as Sandy Park Road and the adjacent Wick Road spring into life with free activities, games and workshops.
The festival isn’t named after the season! Local residents group SPRING (Sandy Park Road Improvement Neighbourhood Group) have been working with local councillors and the Neighbourhood Partnership Team to enhance and celebrate Sandy Park Road, and SPRINGFEST aims to share this passionate group’s love for the local community with a wider audience.
Love Food Festival will be bringing a market featuring both street food vendors and a produce market with a focus on local artisans to the Repton Rd. Car Park (at the bottom of Sandy Park Rd) and creative devotees Made in Bristol, of the epic annual Gift Fair at Colston Hall fame, are hosting a Makers Fair at St. Cuthbert’s Church (at the top of Sandy Park Rd) bringing with them a selection of the best arts and crafts the city has to offer.
Bridging the gap between these specially curated events visitors will have the opportunity to discover what Sandy Park Road has to offer, with a local business trail featuring special one-off deals and offers and much more from participating local shops and traders up and down Sandy Park Rd and adjacent Wick Rd.
Special guests Bristol Energy will also be asking visitors to share their thoughts about the continued improvement of the area at their Bright Ideas Hub on Repton Road with a special giveaway.
