Love gin? Love food? You’ll love the new monthly gin club that’s coming to Bristol, with the Ginfo Club launching here on Saturday, June 10th.
The Gin Emporium UK is pairing up with Mockingbird Café in the city to bring a monthly gin club, which will take place every 2nd Saturday of the month. Every month has a different theme, with Nordic gins on the menu on June 10th, Southern Hemisphere gins in July, a gin and cheese pairing in September and American gins in October. Everyone who attends will enjoy three different gins, paired with tasting plates created by Chef Sally Morris from A Recipe for Gluttony.
Ginfo Club originated in Nottingham, with their success seeing them expand to Bristol. Sally, and Gabby of The Gin Emporium UK, spoke to Oliver at Mockingbird, which saw him invite them to host their gin club at his cafe in Bristol.
Every evening begins with a welcome cocktail, which is different each month and designed to fit with that month’s theme. This is followed by a range of gins that are tasted neat, then with tonic and a garnish, and then paired with small plates of food. The food is designed to be a small taste that brings out the flavours of the gin’s botanicals, and the evenings will also include a range of different speakers, from tonic producers to gin distillers.
More information for each month’s event can be found on the website, with tickets each month priced from £35 per head. Tickets for June 10th can be purchased here.
