It’s definitely the season for new openings – there’s plenty going on in Bristol at the moment! In the second week of August, we’ll have yet another new food and drink business to add to the mix in the form of Steam Bristol, a brand new beer hall and rotisserie coming to the converted railway station that was formerly home to the Roo Bar (it closes its doors for the last time on July 7th).

The premise is simple: it’s all about pork, chicken and a veggie option on the food menu, plenty of beers and a bit of steampunk thrown into the mix.

On the drinks front, expect a combination of mainstream, craft and Cornish choices, with the team saying that drinks will be priced sensibly too. There will also be a wine list chosen by Borough Wines in London’s Stoke Newington, with the full drinks menu yet to be announced.

When it comes to food, it’ll be a choice of rotisserie chicken or porchetta, with a veggie option also promised. You’ll also find a selection of starters and sides, along with Roskilly’s ice cream for dessert and a Sunday roast that’s served as a sharing platter.

To follow Steam Bristol’s progress, head over to their Facebook page or Twitter feed.
