Grillstock Festival will be returning to Bristol’s Harbourside with its own brand of Music, Meat and Mayhem this summer on 2nd and 3rd July, and has announced its first headliner, iconic band The Stranglers, who will close the festival on Sunday night.
A record 30 teams have been confirmed for King of the Grill, making it the biggest cook off the festival has ever seen with teams visiting from all over the country to battle it out to be named Grillstock’s BBQ Champion of 2016. The legend that is Dr BBQ will once again oversee proceedings.
Ben Merrington, Festival Co-Founder, says, “We’ve returned to our roots with just one Grillstock this year, so it’s going to be a MASSIVE hoedown in Bristol. We’ve increased the number of teams competing in our King of the Grill competition which means more smoky goodness, more amazing tasters for the crowds and the biggest BBQ competition our Bristol Festival has ever seen. The Stranglers are legends and will be a brilliant way to spend Sunday afternoon at the festival.”
In addition, Grillstock will launch its first recipe book in April, packed with more than 100 recipes and insider info on how to create your own Champion BBQ with favourites from the Smokehouse menus, tips on mastering the low ’n’ slow style, epic meaty feasts and unique recipes from some of the BBQ competition teams.
