This February the Coexist Community Kitchen will be heading to Calais to volunteer and donate at the One Spirit Ashram, a non-profit kitchen serving free hot meals in ‘the Jungle’.
In order to do this, they need your help. On Thursday, February 11th, you’ll be able to enjoy a delicious North African inspired three course sharing meal at Hamilton House, created by the Community Kitchen for just £15 per head. Jonny Mintaka will also be playing some afrobeats music to dance to. The team will be collaborating with local businesses and producers to provide the evening’s food, allowing them to raise as much money as possible for the One Spirit Ashram.
Say the Coexist Community Kitchen, “This is not a one off, we recognise the importance of working with and welcoming people here in Bristol. So our trip to Calais in February will be the first of many collaborations and projects with the Community Kitchen and people who are seeking asylum and refuge in and around Bristol for 2016 and beyond.”
