Fanny Johnny Cradock

Fanny & Johnnie Cradock Cook The Great American Songbook makes its return on the evening of Friday, February 5th, taking place at The Folk House Café on Park Street.

Fanny & Johnnie Cradock, played by Kate McNab and John Telfer, cook up a storm and diners enjoy a welcome drink and a three course dinner Cradock-style, including Fanny’s signature prawn starter dish and a classic chicken dish (vegetarian options available) cooked by Barny Haughton (founder of Bordeaux Quay, Quartier Vert and Rocinantes) using great organic and local ingredients (not like Fanny!).

Dinner is hilariously demonstrated by Fanny before it’s served, with a little help from the audience and regular bursts of song assisted by Johnnie at the piano.

Since it launched in 2012, the show has been a huge hit and even featured on BBC2’s The Hairy Bikers. It has played to sell-out audiences in restaurants, hotels, golf clubs, private dining rooms, village halls and a theatre.

Actor, singer and musical director John Telfer is best known for 5 series of Bergerac (DC Willy Pettit) with John Nettles and he’s
currently the Vicar of Ambridge in Radio 4’s The Archers. Well-known jazz singer Kate McNab performs with her own company The Ministry of Entertainment. Directed by Sue Colverd and designed by James Helps.

Join Fanny & Johnnie as they cook, sing, argue, namedrop, parlez dodgy Français and summon up a few ghosts from the past. Click here to book via Billetto, or join the Facebook page for updates. Tickets cost £45 per head, including a pre-dinner drink, a three course dinner and the show, with the menu to be posted on Billetto and Facebook soon…
