2016 is set to be a busy year for restaurant openings across Bristol – I’ll share news of new openings as and when I have a good amount of information!
Opening at 182 Church Road in Redfield, opposite Grounded, The Lock Up is a restaurant that will serve “quintessentially British” food, with both traditional favourites and “a taste of the unexpected”. Chef Aidan will be creating local and seasonal dishes (sample dishes on their website include chilled pea soup with radish and courgette noodles, and chargrilled ribeye with chargrilled PSB, red onion salsa, chive oil and tarragon butter), which will be served alongside a drinks list that includes a selection of both Old and New World wines, spirits, cocktails, bottled and draught ale, lager and cider, teas and Wogan coffees and more.
The Lock Up will be open six days a week (closed on Mondays), will accept Bristol Pounds, offers free WiFi, is dog and child-friendly and has a free council car park nearby. To find out more, visit their website, or follow them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
