This weekend, Eat Drink Bristol Fashion will host its biggest party yet at the iconic tipi village in Queen’s Square.

On Saturday 9th May, the finale party will see riotous gypstep six-piece, Molotov Jukebox, top the bill on the Taste of Bristol outdoor stage. They will be joined by Bristol favourites Sheelanagig and some of the West Country’s finest musicians offering everything from jazz and blues to Balkan soul funk, swing and hip hop to create an incredible festival atmosphere.

Over the weekend, the event will once again spread out to fill the square with the new Eat Drink Market featuring over 25 stalls with local food and drink producers and street food traders as well as local arts and crafts people to provide everything you need for a delectable picnic in the square.

Under canvas the Tapas Tipi will be open to all from 12 noon until 10pm on Saturday and from 7pm on Sunday offering a modern British tapas menu created by Eat Drink Bristol Fashion co-founder, Josh Eggleton. The selection of delicious small plates includes The Story organic beef slider, mussels with cider cream, Castellano’s chorizo and white bean stew, smoked sticky ribs and Butcombe and English truffle rarebit.

Luke Hassell, co-founder of Eat Drink Bristol Fashion, said: “Despite the grey clouds and severe winds, the weather has not dented the success of the festival this year. Bristol has done us proud and this has no doubt been our biggest festival yet.

“This weekend we will host Eat Drink Bristol Fashion’s biggest party yet, raising the curtain on Bristol’s incredible summer of festivals and celebration and kick it off in great style!

“So grab your friends and family and come down, whether you fancy a quiet afternoon drink under canvas, a picnic in the square or a night out with friends, feasting on tapas and enjoying a stellar line-up of local music, there’s something to suit everyone.”

Tickets to the fine dining events have now practically sold out, with a few tickets remaining for the Nose to Tail Evening on Sunday 10th May which combines live butchery demonstrations from the region’s experts and classic cooking from the city’s finest purveyors of steak and all things beef with chefs from The Ox, Cowshed, Source and The Pony & Trap.

Now in its fourth year, Eat Drink Bristol Fashion is firmly established as one of Bristol’s stand out food events and now proudly celebrates stunning South West produce and the chefs from all generations who made it a great city to dine out.
