Describing themselves as “the first restaurant chain that doesn’t work as a restaurant chain”, Wok To Walk have chosen Park Street as the base for their next UK venture.
An update on their Facebook page on March 23rd stated that the new restaurant would be open “in the next six weeks”, making it likely that they are set for a late May/early June opening date.
The founders of Wok To Walk started the chain after enjoying wok-cooked food on a tour of South East Asia – and on returning home to Amsterdam, they struggled to find anything similar. In 2004, they opened their first premises in Amsterdam, and since then, they’ve expanded to a number of other European countries, plus the US, Colombia, Mexico and Morocco.
Bristol is the third UK location for Wok To Walk, following London and Cardiff. Their concept is simple: with their 3-step-menu, you simply choose a base, your favourites and a sauce, with every meal cooked to order in under 5 minutes. They are so confident in the freshness of their ingredients that every single one is proudly displayed in their restaurants, and the menu allows you to pick and choose your favourite ingredients to suit both your tastes and your budget.
