Great news for Bristol! The Good Food Guide has announced three local venues in their top 50 guides for 2015.
The Good Food Guide’s Top 50 restaurant list was released on August 26th, and features Westbury-on-Trym’s Michelin-starred Casamia at number 39 on the list. It is the only Bristol-based restaurant on a list that is topped by Simon Rogan’s L’Enclume in Cumbria, followed by Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck in second and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in third place.
For the first time ever, The Good Food Guide has also released a “Top 50 Pubs” list for 2015. The pub list is a result of reader requests, and builds on the success of the annual restaurant listings.
More good news for Bristol here, as Josh Eggleton’s The Pony And Trap in Chew Magna takes the number 25 spot, while The Rummer, whose kitchen is headed up by Andrew Clatworthy, has made it in at number 46. Taking the number one spot is Freemasons at Wiswell, Lancashire.
The Good Food Guide is the bestselling restaurant guide in the UK, and has been recommending the best places to eat since 1951. The Good Food Guide 2014 will be released on Monday, September 8th, and can be pre-ordered from Amazon.
