What is “A Tale Of Two Trades”? Well, it’s the first ticketed dining and drinking event to come from renowned chef Tom Green (known as The Flavour Smith) and Richard Tring of both Red Light and Weber & Trings. For just three nights between August 19th and 21st, ticket holders will be able to enjoy the fruits of Tom’s love of cooking and Richard’s passion for cocktails, in an event that takes place at The Runcible Spoon on Stokes Croft.
Diners will be asked to arrive at 7.30pm for canapés and an aperitif, while the meal will begin at 8pm sharp. Those with special dietary requirements can also be catered for, with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
As the evening includes cocktails expertly matched with each course, there is no BYO option. However, additional drinks will be available to purchase at the event – please note that only cash payment is accepted.
The menu and matched cocktails for all three nights will be as follows…
Castellano’s cured meats and Homewood Dairy halloumi
Cocktail: Bristol Adonis (Harvey’s fino, sweet vermouth, orange bitters)
***
Homewood Dairy ricotta, courgette, preserved lemon & pine nut salad
Cocktail: Summer Farm Fix (gooseberry & cucumber, elderflower cordial, English sparkling)
***
Valley Smoke House smoked chicken Coronation, quail egg
Cocktail: The Sign of Wealth (Beefeater gin, smoked & salted pineapple syrup, lemon, soda, nutmeg)
