The Jersey Lily on Blackboy Hill has long been a haunt for those living in Clifton and Redland, yet over the many years and just as many managers, the former cider house by Woodbury Lane seemed to be heading to the same dismal fate as so many other public houses in recent times.
Since being rescued by Gloucestershire’s Wickwar Brewery, who are also behind the White Lion and Cotham Porter Stores, The Jersey Lily has undergone radical refurbishment to return the old girl to her former glories.
Now, just like its namesake (Victorian socialite Lily Langtree), The Jersey Lily has become synonymous with traditional values and a warm welcome, whilst adding in a twist of opulence and extravagance, befitting of its beautiful and historic town surroundings.
With a brand new interior, exterior and kitchen to match, the team at the all new Jersey Lily are aiming to recreate some good old-fashioned fun. The new team will be hosting live acoustic music every Monday, a Thursday quiz and cold bubbly deals all day Friday to see in the weekend, with more sure to follow.
Authentically rustic pulled pork dishes, Sunday roasts, homemade bar snacks and simple yet delicious food sourced from the West Country area will all be part of the brand new menu, alongside Wickwar’s own real ales, changing guests and traditional ciders.
Reopening on Friday 27th of June, Wickwar Brewery and the Jersey Lily team invites everybody to the opening weekend including live music, food and plenty of good times!

GREAT NEWS TO HERE THE JERSEY LILY IS STILL ALIVE AND KICKING . I RAN THE PUB FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS BACK IN THE 90s IT WAS OWNED BY WESTWARD HOSTS THEN AND HAD GREAT FUN WITH KARAOKE WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT GREAT TIME AND GREAT PEOPLE MISS THOSE DAYS. GOOD LUCK WITH THE NEW LOOK .
